I remember ranger-trapping the UW, and with 4 Rangers, usually 1 person would get 3 ectos, and the other 3 would maybe get 1 between them. Usually, only half the party would get ecto, with one person getting significantly lower amounts. Maybe coincidence? but it seemed to happen almost every run.

Same can be said for greens. Over past couple of days, I took a couple of my guildmates to The Falls for Totem Axes. The first one I took thru got 4 gold drops, I got 1 purple, no Totems for either of us. The second one through got 1 gold, 2 purples, and I got 5 golds and 2 Totem Axes. Made another trip with the second one again with similar results, only 1 axe though. Where is the fairness? I gave him a Totem Axe.

It's not like Totem Axes are very sought after anymore, I think they're worth somewhere in the vicinity of 1k, and I can't imagine any good golds dropping in The Falls, so I don't think you are at a huge loss here. But, your story does make a point to loot scaling.
